Experience & Expertise

Kayla Sabbagh is a Senior Analyst at Greenspring Advisors, where she partners with advisors to create customized, holistic financial plans and investment strategies. In her role, Kayla builds tailored cash-flow projections and in-depth analyses designed to help clients achieve their goals. Kayla continually evaluates each client’s situation to optimize tax outcomes, investment strategies, and financial planning decisions.

Kayla is deeply committed to client education. She believes in empowering clients (to the extent they are interested) to truly understand their financial picture and investments. This way, they don’t just take her word for it but gain the confidence and knowledge to make informed decisions about their financial lives.

In addition to her client work, Kayla writes and contributes to Greenspring’s quarterly investment commentary and has played an active role in advancing firm initiatives, including past contributing goals in the Investment Committee and the Financial Planning Committee.

Before joining Greenspring Advisors, Kayla began her career at Vanguard in Scottsdale, where she started as a Client Services Representative and was quickly promoted to Onboarding and Planning Specialist.

Kayla is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and a graduate of San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning. Though she grew up in San Diego, California, she had long been drawn to the energy and opportunities of New York City and was thrilled when she finally made the move. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, writing, boxing, and exploring the city’s cultural scene—whether that’s attending comedy shows, concerts, or spending a day at one of New York’s many museums.

Favorite Thing About Working With Clients

“I like breaking down the numbers, piecing together the financial puzzle, making sure the math actually works in people’s favor. But the numbers are just one part of it. The real joy comes from seeing what building a sound financial plan and digging into the numbers actually allows people to do—take risks, send their kids to college when their parents weren’t able to do the same for them, walk away from a job they hate, leave a relationship they felt stuck in, start a business, or retire on their own terms. You get a front-row seat to people building something meaningful—a life, a family, a future, and that’s my favorite part.”

My Philosophy On Client Service

“I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and a fiduciary, which for me is more than just a legal requirement—it’s the lens through which I approach all my work. Every recommendation I make comes from a place of care, transparency, and alignment with my clients’ goals.

At the same time, I strive to stay ahead of what needs to be done, taking care of the details so my clients don’t have to worry about them. My goal is to make everything run smoothly and efficiently, giving clients the space to focus on what matters most in their lives while knowing their financial picture is in good hands.”

What I Love About Greenspring

“There’s a culture of care and thoughtfulness that runs through everything we do. Our committees spend hours researching and debating even small tweaks to a client portfolio or financial planning strategy, making sure we’re absolutely confident it’s the right move and truly in the client’s best interest. I love our emphasis on constant and continuous education—pursuing additional designations, staying on top of changes in laws, and keeping up with evolving strategies to ensure we’re always informed and prepared. The best part, though, is the people. Everyone here genuinely cares, about the work, about our clients, and about each other. We collaborate, bounce ideas around, and want to see each other succeed. I feel very lucky to have found a group of people who are intelligent and absolutely committed to helping people, clients and each other alike, live their best lives.”
