A career in financial services can be incredibly rewarding – and Greenspring knows that if you’re seeking a career in finance, getting hands-on experience before you graduate is paramount. Seeking an internship with an established, reputable firm to earn real world experience and help you determine your path is an important piece of the puzzle.
Here at Greenspring Advisors, we have developed a comprehensive internship program that completely dismisses the preconceived notion of an internship consisting of pushing papers and fetching coffee. We believe that it’s imperative to pass along our knowledge to the next generation of financial professionals. Our program allows the opportunity for rising seniors to learn about the industry first-hand through training exercises and assisting our team with real life scenarios.
What You Will Learn
We meet our client's needs in multiple ways through the different departments we have, each providing distinctly different services; which is why our interns engage with each department to see how all sides of our business work. This program curriculum also provides career readiness preparation and personalized development, mentorship, and coaching opportunities!
Advisor Services
Learn how our Operations and Marketing teams support the efforts of our advisors, develop our core branding and marketing initiatives, and help to position the firm for growth and efficiency across all our locations.
Investment Team
You’ll learn about our investment philosophy, our trading and rebalancing models, and how our Centralized Trading team partners with our advisors to manage and maintain client portfolios. You’ll also gain insights into our Investment Committee’s collaborative evaluation and review process.
Private Wealth Management
With the Private Wealth team, you’ll learn how to develop and implement a financial plan, tax planning and projections, client onboarding and services, and building relationships with new and existing clients. You will observe how our Financial Planning Committee develops financial planning standards and best practices utilized throughout our four offices as well as participate in our monthly firm wide Advisor Training session.
Corporate Retirement
From the Corporate Retirement team, you will learn about retirement plan governance, vendor relationship management, plan committee formation, and partnerships. You’ll also see our participant engagement team in action and see how we provide financial education to our 401(k) plan participants.
