Greenspring Advisors Named to List of Nation’s Top DC Advisor Teams
Towson, MD— April 4, 2024 — Greenspring Advisors is pleased to announce that it has been named to the National Association of Plan Advisors’ (NAPA) list of the nation’s top defined contribution (DC) Advisor Teams with Assets under Advisement of $100 Million.
Unlike other lists, this focuses on individual firms, or what may, in a wirehouse environment, be referred to as a team, or office, and the assets under advisement related to their defined contribution (DC) practice, specifically in a single physical location. The inaugural list was published in 2017.
“Our team’s focus has and always will be on setting the bar high,” said Greg Hobson, Partner, and Practice Lead for Greenspring’s Institutional Consulting Group. “This accomplishment highlights our efforts in putting the client first and the positive impact we are having on our community.”
This year’s list features a record number of teams (452)—which oversees nearly $2 trillion in defined contribution plan assets belonging to more than 47,000 plans covering nearly 21 million participants. This year’s teams represented 43 states and the District of Columbia.

The 2024 NAPA Top DC Advisor Teams: Nominees had to be individual advisor team/offices with a defined contribution book of business, in a single physical location totaling at more than $100 million in AUA, based on self-reported assets under advisement as of Dec. 31, 2023. The accolade is based on the previous calendar year’s numbers but was too unwieldy and confusing to tag it as such. The National Association of Plan Advisors has updated the title to reflect the year in which it’s released even though it is still based on last year’s numbers. Hence you will not find a list titled “2023” in the archives. The list is created and conducted by the National Association of Plan Advisors, an affiliate organization of the American Retirement Association, a non-profit association. Greenspring Advisors and our advisors did not pay to be considered for this award; however, Greenspring Advisors does have a paid membership with the National Association of Plan Advisors.
