Location: Towson, Maryland, or Lancaster, Pennsylvania – full-time position, on-site
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be located within commuting distance of either office or be willing to relocate independently. If the position is filled in Lancaster, the candidate should expect to work from the Towson office several days a month.

The Relationship Manager will work in conjunction with the firm’s Retirement Plan Consulting Advisors to support and manage a portfolio of Institutional Retirement Plan Clients, delivering high-touch service, strategic guidance, and operational excellence across all aspects of the client relationship. They will rely on extensive experience and judgment to help clients solve complicated retirement plan and relationship management issues.
The individual will spend most of their time as a day-to-day liaison on client relationships, with the expectation of working towards leading relationships and developing new business for the firm.
This role is critical to setting and maintaining high service standards for the firm, creating positive client experiences, and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities

- Attend and conduct all ongoing client meetings, including periodic and initial meetings with prospective clients
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned client relationships, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and follow through
- Partner with lead advisors and recordkeeping partners to evaluate plan sponsor objectives and design investment and plan strategies aligned with fiduciary best practices.
- Delegate all follow-up tasks and ensure accurate and timely completion
- Solve complicated retirement issues
- Coordinate with Marketing and Compliance to generate content for prospecting, marketing, and education purposes
- Mentor and assist in the training and onboarding of new team members

Job Requirements
Industry/Business Experience
Minimum 2 years in financial services, financial planning, and/or experience with a variety of retirement plans.
Education
College degree. Series 65 license or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Familiar and fluent in understanding a variety of retirement planning concepts, practices, and procedures
- Highly relational with clients, teammates, and centers of influence
- Focused on client needs and customer service at all times
- Trusts the evidence through data and analysis
- A self-starter who is entrepreneurial, assertive, proactive, and independent
- A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Expert in most Microsoft Office applications. Comfortable learning and navigating new technology and software applications. Experience with Salesforce, RPAG, and Morningstar is a major plus.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish is a major plus.
Requirements/Additional Information
- Starting base salary range for this position is $72,000-$95,000 based on experience, with the opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of earnings.
- This individual will report to a Partner & Practice Lead within the Institutional Client Group
- The first 90 days of employment will include an extensive onboarding/training program
- After the first 90 days and with the manager’s approval, the Candidate may be eligible to work from home for a specified number of days per month
- Periodic travel to client meetings should be expected.
