GREENSPRING ANNOUNCES “FINANCE FLIPPED” A NEW PERSONAL FINANCE SERIES WITH BEN GALLOWAY, CFP®
Towson, MD, June 23, 2022 – Greenspring Advisors, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor that serves individuals and businesses from its offices in Maryland and New Jersey, announces Finance Flipped, a Greenspring Advisors original series that “flips the script” on all things we think we know about personal finance.
The personal finance series serves as a platform to share money stories and experiences, plus the feelings, insights, actions, and consequences associated with them. Throughout the year, Senior Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Ben Galloway will sit down with industry experts and community leaders from the world of finance and beyond to challenge and change the way we think about money. How does our upbringing influence our money habits today? Why do we stall in the decision-making process? Is money management changing as social media, housing, education, healthcare, and income needs shift the cultural landscape? Can finance be fun? The mission is to find out.
As an inaugural event, the Finance Flipped series kicked off with The Pride Panel. On Thursday, 2 June 2022, Galloway moderated a lively panel discussion with of some of Baltimore’s leading LGBTQ+ movers and shakers at Topside Restaurant inside the Revival Hotel Baltimore. Panelists included: Franklin N. McNeil, Jr., Vice President, PNC Bank; Kelly Walker, Owner, Kelly L. Walker Fine Art & ARTSTAR Custom Paintworks; Nick Zuelsdorf, Singer, The Trills; and Vicki Schassler, Owner, Spirits of Mt. Vernon.
Galloway stated, “Representation matters, especially as we continue to associate with monikers like “the first” or “the only” in our workplaces and communities. We would never be here without the tremendous and difficult work of those who came before us. For those of us fortunate to be surrounded by supportive families and work environments, we have an opportunity to be a voice for those who need it most.”
